This week was full of Stage, high spirits and challenges.
Starting with our Make Friends with the Stage
Wed, 24th June.

Spontaneity, storytelling, stage presence, and spirit are some of the key ingredients of a watertight presentation. this time, we made friends with PowerPoint, giving our participants a glimpse into the improviser's mind as we present from slides we've never seen before, on topics given to us in the moment.
Next we had our regular The Silliest Show Tonight
Fri, 26th June.

Each Silliest Show is different from the one before it, because we like our New Choices. We love giving out advice in the middle of the show; good, bad, and absolutely useless. To the couple in the audience who let us re-enact the first time they met, we thank you. And, finally, to birthday girl Shreya, Happy Birthday, yeah!
Next, we had our licensed TheatreSports™
Sat, 27th June
If you've never watched Lagaan or Gangs of Wasseypur before, it's a good thing you skipped this show - the spoilers were brutal! This weekend we had teams take on each other to win points and the love of the audience, by coming out on top in a series of tireless challenges. From reality TV to talking degrees, from emotional road trips to diss tracks about the opponents - we made them all up on the spot!
Last up we finished Improv 101
Sat, 27th June & Sun, 28th June

How does one not panic on stage? I mean, really? There are lights, an audience full of strangers, palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy... You get the gist. Our recently concluded 12-hour course might not eliminate panic, but it certainly gets one to a good place where they may learn to manage it. We saw some excellent scenework, shared some deep insights, and came out feeling confident, creative, and comfortable in a new community of friends.
come join us next week as we start July with a busy busy week!
