Welcome to the Improvlore blog, and our first weekly recap.
We had a week full of Fun, music and whimsy this time.
Starting with our Whimsical Wednesday
Wed, 17th June.

Whimsical Wednesdays are close to our hearts. They're our longest-running event, bringing people closer through simple theatre games and exercises. This Wednesday was extra special because one of our cast members' parents joined in on the evening's whimsy!
Next we had our regular The Silliest Show Tonight
Fri, 19th June.

Our Friday Feature has quickly become a popular choice for our audience. We played Ten Titles, where we create ten story titles with the help of the audience and then make up those stories on the spot. Since it was Father's Day, we managed to squeeze in some lovely themed scenes to celebrate the occasion!
Next up we started our first ever batch of Improv 101
Sat, 20th June & Sun, 21st June
How Not To Panic on Stage has been designed to help people feel confident under the spotlight, both literally and metaphorically. In the first two sessions, we worked on spontaneity, presence, listening, and observation. We've got an energetic batch, and the discussions during the debriefs have been just as lively as the exercises themselves. It's been wonderful watching participants discover that being interested is a lot more valuable than being interesting.
We also Ended our 9 HOUR Musical Improv Intensive
Sat, 20th June
The 9-Hour Musical Intensive was a first of its kind for our troupe, and I'm proud to say it went really well! The gang went from nervous hand-wringing to belting out improvised songs in no time. Keep an eye out for our improvised mixtape.
Which resulted in the (HOUSEFUL) Musical Improv show
Sun, 21st June

To wrap up this packed week, we had the showcase of the Musical Intensive. We had a packed house, live music, and a few too many Irish drinking songs! We saw scenes about love, betrayal, new beginnings, wigs, and much more.
Join us on our adventures next week!
